Radio Shack bows out locally as company closes 552 stores nationally Junction, Westwood Village and Burien locations all closing By Patrick Robinson 03/24/2017 updated 2 hours ago RadioShack is closing stores across the nation and that includes three here locally. First in the Junction, second in Westwood Village and third in Burien. The company filed for bankruptcy for the second time last week, is closing 552 of its stores. According to a court filing last week the locations that are set to close have the "lowest sales velocity and highest rent." The company said in a statement it will "continue to evaluate" the fate of its remaining 1,000 stores. The closures will occur in two stages, 187 will close immediately and another 365, including our local stores by the first week of April. We encourage our readers to comment.
