The victim said that the suspects were day laborers who spent the past week waiting for work at the parking lot on the 7300 block of Delridge Way S.W. The suspect offered to give the victim a ride home that evening and started heading towards his house. When the car stopped around 24 Ave S.W. and S.W. Holden St., the suspect demanded that the victim give him all his money. He then opened his backpack to reveal a handgun. The victim gave him the $20 he had, then fled from the vehicle and called 911. The victim said that he was not injured and that the gun was never pointed at him. He described the suspect as 5’5” and about 25 years old, wearing gray shorts and a gray jacket with black sleeves. The vehicle was a four-door, red Mitsubishi with dark tinted windows. Police drove the victim to his residence. They checked the area for the suspect but could not find him. Masked robber on Harbor Avenue Officers were dispatched to a robbery on the 2400 block of Harbor Avenue S.W. at 4:52 p.m. on Thurs., Oct. 20. The clerk at the store said the suspects, both males in their early 20s, left southbound on foot. One man was about 6’ tall, 120 lbs., wearing a purple or blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The second suspect was about 5’8”, 120 lbs. and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a Halloween mask. They took money from the cash register after threatening to kill the store employee. The description matched suspects in a robbery that occurred at 4100 SW Admiral about an hour earlier. The police found a number of fingerprints, which they submitted for analysis. Business burglarized on Admiral Way Police responded when an alarm was triggered at 4300 S.W. Admiral Way at 2:37 a.m. on Tues., Oct. 18. The victim said two suspects entered the business and said, “I’ll kill you” as they came around the counter, took money out of the till and grabbed a couple of packs of cigarettes. He said that he wasn’t sure if the suspects had weapons, but they kept their hands in their pockets as if they did. The suspects left, and the victim saw a black car driving away. Officers searched for fingerprints but were unable to locate any. The victim complained of back pain from hitting the counter, when he attempted to move out of the way of the suspects. Home robbed on 32nd Avenue S.W. A woman had an unexpected guest at her house located on the 5600 block of 32nd Avenue S.W. She came home around 2:30 p.m. on Mon., Oct. 17 to find an unknown man inside. The suspect ran away immediately through a sliding glass door. The victim ran outside and called 911. Officers searched the residence and found that it had been ransacked. They also found a piece of luggage and a large black bag full of the woman’s property. The suspect fled without taking the items. The officers were not able to gather any evidence to identify the burglar. We encourage our readers to comment. No registration is required.
